Koi fish are a firm favourite of mine, even if I don't draw aquatic scenes as often as I'd like to. For those of you who may not know, Koi are seen as being insperational symbols of strength, particularly in Oriental countries, and make for very popular tattoos. And let me just say that drawing their scales, far from being stressful... actually, I found it pretty dang theraputic. :3 And now, I don't draw fish a lot, and am not familiar with how "everything should be!" on a Koi the way that I am with horses, deer, dogs, donkeys, polar bears and lions, so ... please bear that in mind.
I really like the way this one turned out. <3 I love the pastel-ish effect of the colours, and the way they all blend in together. I like how the interaction between them came out - the way they're leaping clear of the water and holding whiskers, lol. <3 I love how their colours correspond with each other - and need I say it but this is me and my love. <3 I am the pink Koi, he's the bluebell-violet one. :3
Also.
If you're wondering, the lettering actually says "I Love You" in Chinese. :3

Since my exams have finished, I have free time now, so all I've been doing is relaxing! xD
