A little something for my husband, ~EternalFlame1891 (most epic man in the world and he's mine lol) - his bearself and his Grandpa, who is like .. awesome times a million. :heart: I love you both.
I know that the old military uniforms used to be kind of ... pure green, so I went with that theme for his Grandpa - and hopefully my military knowledge is up to scratch and I got the symbolism right on his leg. :3
Tried something a little different with the fur detailing; instead of outlining sections of fur first, I did it purely with marker. Kinda groovin' on the effect it gives off, lol. Really like this one - seriously. I've hung it on my wall. :3
If it's not clear, they're like ... hiding in a little snow bank-y kind of thing. Because snow isn't really nice. LOL.

Made me all warm and fuzzy when I saw it. Bears are friggin' adorable, and you do them just wonderfully. <3 The colours are so soft, and they just look...so. Damn. Cute. <3

I really love bears! I don't think I quite accurately portrayed that before, lol. And I had so much fun drawing these. :3 I wanted to make the colours look soft in order to contrast with the pure white background, so eee. You made my day by telling me that! <3 Thank-you so much for all your support; you're amazing.

Oh wow! I love the colours, because they're so out there for bears. But the way you symbolized it to be for a military uniform? Amazing~ It's so creative, and I love how they're glancing back at us like "you're getting in the way of our bonding time" I just love this. You're also amazing at fur, and I'm just still in shock with the markers after all this time- I'd be afraid of messing up! but wow. The shading, along with the fur, is just so good. I love this piece :heart:

Goodness thank-you so, so much. :heart: I'm so happy you said that - I wanted to make the bears look like polar bears, and yet have a different kind of colour scheme so that they stood out, a lot. And oh my gosh I'm tearing up! <3 That bear is like, a super important person to me, and I know they did military service for such a long time, and so the idea just hit me, almost like a natural thought.
LOL! <3 That's exactly the look I was aiming for! <3 These two are so close. They love bonding time, haha!
